The trend today regarding the Npower programme is that the Federal government has resumed payment of the long-awaited 9 months unpaid stipends of the Npower beneficiaries starting with payment of 1 month of January 2023 payment. The year 2023 has been a struggling year for the Npower beneficiaries in the sense that most of the activities of the program were withheld. In this, we will review the situation of the Npower in 2013.

Review of Npower programme 2023

1. The N-Power programme beneficiaries were owed outstanding stipends of 9 months from January to September 2023.

2. In the year 2023, there was a transition to a new government which led to the transition to a new management for the Npower programme.

3. The Npower programme was suspended by the new management in 2023 to recover Npower funds misappropriated by the previous management.

4. The Npower programme went under restructuring by the new management in 2023.

5. The Npower programme was renamed to the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme RHJCP

6. A new agency NSIPA was created to oversee the Affairs of the Npower programme and other social investment programs NSIP.

Npower programme Expectations For 2024.

What to look out for in 2024 regarding the Npower programme are as follows:

1. In 2024, the new restructured Npower program RHJCP will kick off.

3. The new Npower beneficiary who may be recruited in 2024 might receive a stipend payment of N50,000.
