Few days ago, the news of the 21,780 out of 33,000 teachers in Kaduna State that failed the primary four test conducted to test their ability by the Kaduna State Government was all over the media.
As a result of that, the State Government is now preparing to recruit more qualified teachers to restore dignity and quality to education in Kaduna State.
However, we believed that the State Government have many alternative ways to replace those teachers, one of which is to retained the NPower Teach Beneficiaries who are dedicated to their work.
Some of the Npower Teach Beneficiaries in Kaduna State are qualified to handle the teaching job because during the 2016 Npower recruitment process, Kaduna State Government set a compulsory test to retest the selected Npower Beneficiaries deployed to Kaduna State aside the Test conducted by NPower.
The Aptitude Test Questions were 100 GMAT Questions and other questions derived from the programme applied for. Some of the N-Teach Beneficiaries past the test and those who did not were move to N-Agro.
So we believed that Kaduna State Government might hire from the pool of NPower Teach who are young and qualified to restore dignity to education in the State.
Retaining the N-Teach Beneficiaries will not only save the Kaduna State Government who is presently shopping to recruit 25,000 new teachers the cost of recruiting new teachers but also save the young graduate from moving back to the street after been equip by Npower with teaching skills.
