Who are NSIP Focal Persons: NSIP Focal persons are appointed by the State Governors to oversee the Social Investment Programmes of the Federal Government namely: N-power, GEEPMarketMoni, Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), and the NHGSFP.

Though the Npower Programme is an initiative of the Federal Government, the States Government plays a vital role in the success of the Programme. FG Ministry responsible for the Npower Programme recruit Nigerian youths in the 36 states across the Country in partnership with the state government for youth Empowerment and job creation purposes. The Youths recruited will be deployed to their various LGA of their state of residence to serve as teachers, health Extension workers in their communities. Others are trained to acquire skills in Agriculture, software engineering, the creatives industry, etc. While the Federal Government pays the beneficiaries monthly stipends.

So as a Npower volunteer or a beneficiary of any of the NSIP Programme, you are supposed to be familiar with your state focal person because before any issue gets to Federal Government the initiators of the Npower and other NSIP programme, it will pass through your state focal person and sometimes your state focal person can resolve your issues.

So it is good to know who is your state focal person and also make sure that you have their contact for inquiries.

As the Npower batch C successfully Shortlisted applicants will begin physical verification and deployment soon, the state focal persons will be in charge of this process and as usual, some of you will encounter some challenges that you will need the help of the focal person. Challenges such as - change of location, omission of a name from the list, redeployment, etc.

However, while these Programmes are ongoing across the Country, independent monitors were recruited and empowered with devices to monitor the progress of the Programme in all the states.
