N-TAX/VAIDS: Who Is a CTLO Trained By N-Power (Must Read)

A Community Tax Liaison Officer (CTLO) is a young graduate, trained by N-Power NG to educate citizens in various communities on the Nigeria tax system. A CTLO is equipped with the skill to encourage more economically active citizens to become taxpayers through the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme.

What is the job of a CTLO:

1. Increase tax awareness to raise complaince
2. Educate all citizens on the tax system
3. Tax outreach to increase the number of tax payers
4. Enrol new tax payers

Why do you need a CTLO:
Since Nigeria has a low GDP ratio and only 14 million people pay tax, there is a lot of work to be done in creating awareness and bringing people into the tax system.
