FCSC Recruitment 2017: Reps Reject Move To Prove Recruitment Exercise

Most members of the House of Representative yesterday reject a motion seeking to investigate the 2016/2017 Federal Civil Service recruitment exercise.

The lawmakers argued that many of the applicants had their dreams of working for the Federal Government dashed by failure of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to inform them of further process regarding g the exercise.

He said the exercise was alleged to have lacked transparency and was in breach of the Federal character principles.

He therefore prayed that the committee on the public service matters and federal character be mandated to determine whether the recruitment exercise was done properly.

However, when speaker yakubu dogara put the motion to voice vote majority of the lawmakers reject it, surprised by the voting pattern, Dogara called for another vote, in which the result was same.
