On Tuesday, she was a guest at a high-level forum hosted by the Ministry of Finance and Nigerian Governors forum on #FinancingSafeSchools in Nigeria & creating safe learning communities.

It was a timely forum during which stakeholders deliberated on how to keep our children safe while getting an education especially in the light of rising attacks on educational institutions.

That next day, she joined cabinet-level colleagues in attending the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by HE President Muhammadu Buhari. One of the key resolutions at FEC was the approval of the sum of N8.39bn for the completion of Sokoto-Tambuwal-Jega-Makera road.

During the week, she was represented by the Director, Special Needs at a 3-day capacity-building workshop of identified local producers of assistive technologies organized by #fmhds in Makurdi, Benue State.

The Minister said she is saddened by the incessant attacks by bandits in Zamfara her home State which has led to more deaths and the closure of four markets across three local government areas by the State Government.

I sympathize and condole especially with the parents of the 3 students of Greenfield university who were abducted and killed by bandits during the week, she said.

She concluded by saying as we beseech Allah in this holy month of Ramadan, let us pray for our country and especially for our children in schools that they are kept safe from attacks as they seek to gain knowledge. Have a great week.
