Description of Contest Objectives

This contest aims to promote democracy and learn about the impact of U.S. programs and priorities on Nigerian citizens. (See the “Eligibility” section below).

Platform(s)

1) Events from this contest may be announced and promoted on various Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but contest entry and administration will take place through online forms.

2) Contest winners may also be announced on social media platforms; however, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube are not partners or sponsors of the contest.

3) Contestants are reminded that by participating in the contest and uploading content to these platforms they are bound by the Terms of Service of the platforms and any the Terms of Service of the platforms and any agreements contained therein.

How to Enter - Essay Contest

Write a 300 words (max) essay that creatively shares how the U.S. through programs or policies impacts you or your community. Post the essay under your own username to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #USNGandMe and tag @USinNigeria. Complete and submit the contest entry form available at https://bit.ly/usngandmeessay

How to Enter — Video Contest
Produce an original video of USNGandMe that creatively shares how the U.S. through programs or policies impacts you or your community. Upload the video under your own username to Facebook or Instagram or Twitter, captioning the video with the hashtag #USNGandMe and tag @USinNigeria.

The video submission can be uploaded in any format accepted by the platform but should not be longer than 60 seconds. Once a video is uploaded, it is considered a final submission and may not be modified, edited, or replaced. Individual contestants may submit no more than one video. Participation in this contest is automatically deemed as acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. A submission must be an original video, taken by the contestant.

After uploading the hashtagged video, complete the contest entry form at https://bit.ly/usngandmevidcontest provide a link to your video submission and as required, confirm that you are at least 13 years of age.

The USNGandMe Essay and Video contest open on June 25 at 10:00 AM GMT+1. Entries may be submitted between June 25, 2021, and July 5, 2021 (11:59 PM). Judging begins on July 6, 2021, and ends on July 20, 2021
