Apply: Benue PHC Board Recruitment of Community Health Workers

The Benue State Primary Health Care Board has announced a new recruitment drive for qualified individuals to serve as community health workers across the state. This initiative, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), aims to improve access to healthcare services, particularly in rural areas.

The recruitment is for two key positions:

1. Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW): These individuals will work as ad-hoc health workers and provide technical support.

2. Community Based Health Workers (CBHW): These are volunteers who will provide basic health services, including mobilization and sensitization on health issues.

Requirements for Applicants:

Qualifications For Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW):

a. Must have obtained a Certificate of the Junior Community Health Extension Worker and a valid practicing license.

b. Must be a resident of the local government where they are applying.

c. Must be willing to work in rural areas

d. Must be between the ages of 25 and 60 years.

Qualifications For Community Based Health Workers (CBHW):

a. Minimum of secondary education.

b. Ability to read and write in English and the local language

c. Must be respected and a resident within the community.

d. Culturally competent and willing to serve the community for at least four years.

e. Age range of 25-60 years.
