Nigerian Police New Recruitment Portal Update 2025
Nigerian Police New Recruitment Portal Update 2025 - Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval for the recruitment of an additional 20,000 police officers. The Nigerian police service commission has revealed the acquisition of new psc recruitment portal https://recruitment.psc.gov.ng
The Police Service Commission (PSC) unveiled the newly acquired recruitment portal as part of its plan to decentralise the 2025 Police Recruitment Exercise. This development follows a consultative meeting in Abuja with recruitment desk officers from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the PSC, the new platform will allow state officers to play strategic roles throughout the recruitment process. In addition, the Ministry of Police Affairs, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Federal Character Commission will have access to the portal to ensure transparency, inclusiveness, and fairness.
The Commission emphasised that the upgraded system will help eliminate corruption, nepotism, and favoritism by enabling real-time monitoring of applicants’ data and progress. This digital transformation aims to build public trust and enhance the credibility of the entire recruitment process.

PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd.), stated that the portal will support the recruitment of both PSC staff and all categories of police officers. He noted that state desk officers will serve as primary stakeholders, making the process more decentralised and efficient.
Argungu expressed confidence that this collaborative effort will protect the interests of all parties involved while delivering a stronger and more reliable police force that the nation can be proud of. With this bold move, Nigeria is positioning itself for improved security and better law enforcement nationwide.
