FG Flagged Off Presidential Food And Nutrition Assistance Program In Adamawa

The Federal Government has flagged off the Presidential Food and Nutrition Assistance Programme in Adamawa State, reinforcing its commitment to protecting vulnerable households and strengthening pathways to resilience.

Leading the intervention, the Honourable Minister, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, stated: “Humanitarian assistance must not end with one-off distribution. It must serve as a bridge into structured social protection systems and sustainable poverty-exit pathways.”

The programme will support 7,000 households (approximately 35,000 persons) with essential food items, while 20,000 malnourished children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers will receive targeted nutrition support.

Representing Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Hon. Commision Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reintegration Barr. Haman Diram described the intervention as timely and aligned with Ongoing humanitarian coordination efforts, assuring transparent and equitable distribution.
