General Information

1. The Nigerian Navy Recruitment Exercise 2026 for Batch 39 commences from 2 to 31 October 2026. The online registration and other recruitment processes are FREE OF CHARGE and no payment should be made at any point to anyone throughout the Exercise. Interested and qualified applicants are to apply at https://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng

2. Only a single valid application is permitted, multiple online applications shall be disqualified.

3. Applicants are to print out the under listed documents after completion of application online:

• a. Acknowledgement Form.
• b. Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
• c. Local Government Attestation Form (To be signed by a military officer of the rank of Commander in the NN or equivalent in the AFN or Police officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police and above or Local Government Chairman).
• d. Guarantor's Certification Form.

Eligibility

4. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess National Identification Number (NIN).

5. Applicants must not be less than 1.69m height for males and 1.65m height for females.

6. Applicants must be medically, psychologically and physically fit and must meet the Nigerian Navy medical and employment standards.

7. Applicants must be free of any previous conviction(s) on criminal grounds by a court of law.

Guideline for Applicants

8a. Applicants with O'Level/SSCE results must be between the ages of 18 and 22 years as at 31 December 2026. They must possess a minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2020.

8b. Applicants with OND/NCE must be between the ages of 18 and 26 years while those for Chaplain/Imam Assistant and Drivers/Mechanic must be between 18 and 28 years of age as at 31 December 2026. They must possess a minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not older than 2015.

8c. Tradesmen applying for the following categories must possess Trade Test certificates as well as a credit in English Language with minimum of 4 passes in other subjects in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB not later than 2017:

• (1) Tailoring
• (2) Carpentry
• (3) Plumbing
• (4) Masonry
• (5) Welding
• (6) Electrician
• (7) Painting
• (8) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology.

8d. Applicants applying for professions allied to medicine must possess ND from recognized training institutions in Nigeria and a valid practicing license.

8e. Applicants applying as sportsmen/women are to present evidence of their experience, which shall include certificates and medals.

8f. All applicants must be proficient in the use of English Language, inability to communicate in basic English Language shall lead to disqualification at any stage of the Recruitment process.

9. The date and venues for the recruitment examination shall be communicated in due course.

10. Successful applicants will undergo basic military training and on completion will be recruited into the Service of the Nigerian Navy as Ordinary Seamen.
