How The Government Intends To Share Abacha Loot To Poorest Nigerians

There is a Social investment program Household Uplifting programme that pays N5,000 per Month to poorest Nigerians, handled by the Vice President's office. That's where it'll be channeled to.  297,973 people In 9,567 communities, 202 LGAs, 19 States

Household Uplifting programme (HUP) is one of the components of the National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP) of the Federal Government of Nigeria which aims at providing access to targeted transfers of N5,000 to poor and vulnerable households.

HUP aims to Reduce poverty, prevent the vulnerable from falling further down the poverty line, improve household consumption, increase utilization of health and nutrition services,improve school enrolment and turnout,encourage household asset acquisition, sustainable livelihood.
