In a publication pasted at the Ministry of budget Kaduna State, the State Focal Person of the social investment programme (SIPs) stated that it has come to their attention that some N-Power volunteers are working in government establishment thus combining two paid employment concurrently.
According to them, You may be aware that combining two paid employment concurrently goes contrary to part two rule 1, page 5 of the guideline for appointment promotion/discipline (2005) and terms and condition governing employees engagement in Kaduna State civil service.
It was stated in the publication that You may wish to note that the office of the State focal person, social investment programme is desirous to collaborate with your ministry and the Nigeria inter bank settlement system plc (NIBSS) to put a stop to this unethical practice. therefore all N-Power volunteers combining two paid employments are hereby given from July 15th to August 15th 2019 to resign one employment of their choice or else risk the chance of being removed and forced to make refund. Meanwhile measures are being worked out to ensure a lasting solution to the problem.
In view of the foregoing you are kindly requested to notify all local government areas to inform N-Power volunteers that those working as volunteers and also in government establishment to resign one of the employments by the stated date.
This may be possible reason for the July stipend payment delay because they wanted to flush out the undesirable and pay the desirable. In a radio program in Kano State today, Someone stated that the delay for July payment was due to volunteers absconding from their PPA and others working in two employment.
