Will Creation Of NSIP Agency Bill As Prescribed By Bauchi Senator Sustain NPower Permanency if successfully pass into law? (Topic for discussion! Lets hear your opinion)

The Senator representing Bauchi south senatorial districts has made another calls to the executives arm of government of the  federal republic of Nigeria to send a bill to the national assembly for adoption and passing into law the creation of NSIP agency, the lawmaker who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Social Investments and Poverty Alleviation is suggesting to the  Nigerian government to employ all the Npower beneficiaries into federal civil services in order to reduce the menace of high rates of unemployment among the teaming youths in the country, so also this will helps the governments efforts in reducing the criminal activities in Nigeria and African States.

Remember that National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) is a scheme and not an agency, but this bill if pass into law will make the NSIP an Agency though still under the supervision of the Ministry of humanitarian affairs but will be legally sustained.

Last year November 4th 2019, Sahara Reporters reported that the same senator attempted to hijack NSIP budget from Ministry. According to Sahara Reporters, Sources revealed that the move spearheaded by Senator Lawal Yahaya Gumau had the backing of other lawmakers including the Senate President. It was also gathered that the senators were lobbying for contracts under the ministry with opportunities to provide vendors in some of the programmes.

N-Power volunteers nationwide are excited With the news that the senator has prescribed the NSIP Bill which they hope will aid their permanency. With this new development, it is a good thing that the senator has sent this bill to the national assembly, N-Power volunteers are always in support of any implementation that will bring permanency to the table.
