Humanitarian Minister Revealed Npower June Stipends Payment Date

The honorable Minister of humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq mentions when volunteers should expect to begin receiving their June stipends. According to her, volunteer June stipend payment will commence this week. She stated this in a live Facebook interview with DW Hausa news on Sunday 19th July 2020.

The Minister also stated that those who are owned 2 to three-month backlog will be paid if they have no issue in their PPA. She said some of the volunteers who have not been paid for three months are those who were reported for absconding from PPA duties.

So expect to begin receiving your June stipends this week and don't forget to begin strategizing on what you will use your June stipends for since this may be the last stipend payment for batch A volunteers.

Batch A was officially exited June while Batch B will be exited this month July 2020. However, the volunteers have scheduled for a peaceful protest in Abuja on Thursday 23th July 2020 where they will be expected to meet with the senate president to discuss issues regarding their exit.

Their concern is to see that they are not sent back to the street without a proper transition which they have been waiting for long for the implementation. They are supposed to be transited to the government entrepreneurship scheme and that transition seems to be slow, according to the volunteers.

  3. We passionately pray for God Almighty to intervene and reverse the case of throwing us again back to the streets of unemployed graduates, to an insertion into the Federal and state civil service in Jesus Name. Amen.
