In the other news, Humanitarian affairs Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq has encouraged others to enhance their communication skills by learning and adopting sign language as an alternative means of communication as we work towards creating an inclusive environment for persons with disabilities

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, disaster management, and social development (FMHADMSD) are taking steps through the National Commission for Persons with Disability (PWD) to improve disability data and Statistics. In the ongoing M&E exercise, the Ministry will continue to ensure (as part of its mandate) that planning and implementation is inclusive of PWDs

This effort is in recognition of the promise made by the Commander in Chief of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to take 100 million extremely poor Nigerians out of poverty which includes Persons with Disabilities, Sadiya Umar Farouq said.

FMHADMSD deployed Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics #STEM Equipment to 218 public schools across the 36 States and the FCT. FMHADMSD teams are on the ground to oversee delivery and handover.
