Youth Empowerment: FG Takes Over Agadagba Skill Acquisition Centre In Ondo

According to the Minister of Youth Ministry, in a significant effort to enhance youth empowerment and expand vocational training, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development has officially taken over the management of the Agadagba Skill Acquisition Centre, located in the Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

This strategic move reaffirms the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to broaden access to skills-based education and economic opportunities, particularly for young Nigerians in riverine and underserved communities.

During the official handover ceremony held in Abuja, the minister announced plans to upgrade the Centre into a National Youth Camp with a focus that extends beyond vocational training. The new vision includes leadership development, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and community service.

He outlined its agenda to introduce modern vocational programs, enhance infrastructure, and deploy qualified professionals to ensure the Centre operates effectively under its new and expanded mandate.

The Minister also assured stakeholders—including the host community, traditional institutions, and young people—that the facility would be utilized in a purposeful and transparent manner.
