However, some of you where complaining that your attendance has not been recorded yet. So we decided to create this post to share some possible Reasons Why Your TVET Attendance Record Not Showing Yet. So keep reading!
If you attendance record has not appeared on your TVET dashboard yet, it might be that your training centre have not started capturing your attendance with the required biometric attendance systems for real-time monitoring recommended by the federation government.
If your training centre have started capturing your attendance with the required biometric attendance systems and your attendance is still not showing on your dashboard, do not panic. It will be updated in due time.
Note that the Federal Ministry of Education has commenced the full enforcement of biometric attendance verification across all centres participating in the Federal Government's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme to strengthen transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.
The enforcement, which took effect from 1 February 2026, follows a circular issued in December 2025 directing all TVET Training Centres to procure and deploy biometric attendance systems for real-time monitoring. The Ministry states unequivocally that biometric verification is now the sole approved method for validating attendance under the TVET Programme.

Accordingly, all payments to Training Centres and monthly stipends to trainees are now processed strictly on the basis of verified biometric attendance records. Any Training Centre that fails to comply will not be eligible for payment, and affected trainees will forfeit their stipends. Persistent non-compliance will result in removal from the programme, with trainees redeployed to fully compliant centres.The Ministry reiterates that biometric verification is mandatory and non-negotiable, as it safeguards public funds and ensures programme benefits reach intended beneficiaries.
Prospective Training Centres seeking to participate in the TVET Programme must obtain accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and apply via the NBTE TVET portal: https://www.digitalnbte.nbte.gov.ng/TVET/TVETApplication2
The Federal Ministry of Education stated that they have remained committed to strengthening the integrity of the TVET Programme to empower Nigerian youth and drive national development.
