The National Coordinator of the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), Dr. Funmi Olotu, has earlier stated that social protection is now an imperative for Nigeria following recent economic adjustments.

Speaking on the Renewed Hope Agenda, Dr. Olotu noted that a mandate has been made to ensure every social intervention passes through the National Social Register (NSR). This move is designed to guarantee that transparency, accountability, and fairness are the hallmarks of support for Nigerians.
