On today's Npower latest News: President Muhammadu Buhari Budgets N420 Billion for Npower, Other Social Investment Programmes in 2021 Budget.

President Muhammadu Buhari has budgeted N420 billion for the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) in the 2021 budget.

The President disclosed this during the presentation of the 2021 Appropriation Bill on Thursday at a joint session of the National Assembly.

N-Power is linked to the Federal Government’s policies in the economic, employment and social development arenas. N-Power addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy.

Currently, 500, 000 trained graduates who were engaged to improve the inadequacies in the public services in education, health and civic education have concluded their service and has been exited to benefit from other government oppotunities. 400,000 new batch of Npower volunteers will soon be Enroll to also benefit from the programme.

The National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) are a group of programmes under the National Social Investment Office (NSIO), a social security agency created in 2015 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to manage social investment programmes within Nigeria.

Current Programmes under the NSIP are: N-Power, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), and GEEP.
