1) The week dawned with the good news of the eventual release and return of the students of Govt. Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Marafa LGA of Zamfara state. She was delighted to see this ugly drama come to a safe resolution. My gratitude goes to all those who made their release and safe return possible. And we hope they can put this traumatic experience behind them and get on with their lives, Sadiya Umar Farouq said. 2) According to the Minister, she was auspiciously in her home state of Zamfara State at that time as part of a federal government fact-finding delegation and seized the opportunity of the visit to revalidate her membership of their great party the All Progressives Congress @OfficialAPCNg

3) On Tuesday she joined other members of the Presidential Task Force to take delivery of the Covid-19 vaccines donated to Nigeria by the Covax/Gavi Coalition. She also seizes this opportunity to acknowledge the President HE @MBuhari and the VP HE @ProfOsinbajo for showing exemplary leadership by publicly taking the vaccine. Their actions are critical in building confidence, especially amongst the so-called anti-vaxxers.

4)She called on all eligible Nigerians to register and take advantage of this key pharmaceutical intervention which will help us achieve herd immunity and roll back the spread of Covid-19 which continues to exact a huge humanitarian toll. 5) On Wednesday the Minister joined other cabinet-level colleagues at the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which was presided over by the President HE @MBuhari. Important matters of state were considered and key decisions reached.

6) The FG's grant for rural women train made a stop in Oyo state on Thursday where 5,280 rural women are expected to receive grants of N20,000 grants to empower them economically and enhance their productivity.

7) During that visit, she also presented the FG's humanitarian relief materials to victims of the Shasha’s clash who are presently being hosted in Sabo, Ojoo, and Akinyele areas of the state. According to @nemanigeria, there are 928 households and 5,568 households.

8) The rural women grant train also rolled into other States this week. Kogi on 2nd March, Akwa Ibom on 4th March & Abia States on 5th March. @FMHDSD was represented by the PS Alh. Bashir Alkali. 9) Today the world will mark the International Women's Day #IWD which is traditionally commemorated on March 8 every year. I want to use this opportunity to celebrate all women who are making giant strides. I celebrate you all the Minister said.
