Call For Application: Tinubu Light Empowerment Programme

The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) a Nigerian federal agency under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology. Headquartered in Abuja, has launched the Tinubu Light Initiative a Federal Renewable Energy program to empower eligible micro and small enterprises operating across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory with solar power system.

The Tinubu light initiative connects grassroots enterprises — traders, tailors, barbers, POS operators, pharmacies and artisans — to structured solar-energy assessment, financing guidance and a traceable path from application to commissioning.

Who can apply?

Operating business The applicant should operate a lawful micro or small enterprise with a real and verifiable business location in Nigeria.

Application Information required:

• Applicant's full name, email address and phone number
• Business name, description, address, state and LGA
• Business category, number of staff and years in operation
• Current source of electricity and estimated monthly energy spending
• CAC registration status, CAC number and TIN where available
• Arealistic energy assessment or appliance list
