KADSIO Trained Field Officers On NSIP Data collection and evaluation

The Kaduna State Social Intervention Office KADSIO stated that they have just concluded a 2-day training where field officers gathered to enhance their data collection skills for assessing the impact of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) from 2016 to 2022.

During this insightful event at the National Teacher's Institute Kaduna, stakeholders were trained on critical topics such as data collection methods and analysis, mobilization, logistics, and personnel deployment.

Bridget Sulaiman,the State Focal Person, kicked off the event by celebrating the successes of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) in Kaduna State.

The FP who was represented by Rebecca M. Padonu (Acting Programme Manager, N-Power Programme) stated that the NSIP has positively affected the lives of 70,051 vulnerable citizens across 14 Local Government Areas in Kaduna State, through the Conditional Cash Transfer programme.

Additionally, improvements in school enrollment, employment opportunities for loc vendors, and support for farmers and other Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME were highlighted, thanks to the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (where 735,280 pupils through 7,261 dedicated cooks across 3,444 schools in 23 LGAs have benefitted) and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme.

Despite these achievements, Bridget Sulaiman acknowledged persistent challenges such as geographic spread, payment issues, logistics, security concerns, and monitoring.

She reassured everyone of KADSIO's unwavering commitment to efficiency and service delivery, adding that the State has a functional Social Investment Office call center which was set up in 2021 to address grievances and receive feedbacks from beneficiaries. She further stated that since the establishment of the call centre, over 13,000 calls have been received.
