NYDA Joins Hands With MTN Foundation To Empower South Africa Youths

The National Youth Development Agency NYDA partners with MTN foundation in a bid to empower the youth of South Africa. This partnership showcases the commitment of the public and private sector institutions in working together to develop the youth by creating opportunities for them to participate in the mainstream economy.

The Agency and the Foundation are to sign a memorandum of agreement which seeks to make provision toward education, employment, training, funding for young people and prepare them for jobs of the future.

The Executive Chairperson of the NYDA, Ms. Asanda Luwaca said “Our institution is established with the mandate to advance youth development through guidance and support to initiatives across sectors of society and spheres of government, private sector, embark on initiatives that seek to advance the economic development of young people and develop and coordinate the implementation of the Integrated Youth Development Plan and Strategy for the Republic of South Africa.

The MTN Foundation General Manager, Arthur Mukhuvha expressed the importance of private public sector partnerships. MTN is excited to be partnering with The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and we take immense pleasure in being a vital participant in this initiative.

We are dedicated to equipping young individuals with the tools and resources needed to unlock a brighter and more promising future for South Africa’s youth,” said GM Arthur Mukhuvha.
