DG NYSC Promises Robust Capacity Building For Staff

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Anmed has said his administration is committed to Staff and Corps Members’ security and welfare.

He also said he would ensure staff motivation that would lead to efficiency and higher productivity.

He disclosed this today during a meeting of NYSC Top Management with Chairpersons of the three Unions in the Scheme, held at the National Directorate Headquarters, Maitama, in Abuja.

The Director General said Management has been unrelenting in its efforts to improve the working environment and ensure robust welfare package for Members of staff.

He expressed happiness that the Scheme has steadily enjoyed industrial harmony over the years.

The Director, Human Resource Management, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad in his opening remarks said Management is committed to promoting industrial harmony among members of staff.

He added that the meeting was an avenue for open dialogue and deliberations on matters that affect the collective interest of all members of staff.

Alhaji Muhammad lauded General Ahmed for his strong commitment to robust welfare, capacity building and the sustenance of industrial harmony since he assumed duty.

Participants at the meeting include representatives from the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCN), Nigeria Union of Public Service, Reportorial, Secretarial, Data Processors and Allied Workers (NUPSRAW) and the Almagamated Union of public Corporations, Civil Service, Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUCPTRE).
