The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFiB) has officially announced that the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise will commence on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.

Eligibility and Guidelines

According to the statement signed by A.M. Jibril (Maj. Gen. Rtd), only candidates who have been officially scheduled for the CBT will be allowed to log in. Applicants are strongly advised to study and follow all examination rules to avoid disqualification.

The CDCFiB’s online system is equipped with advanced monitoring technology designed to detect and prevent all forms of examination malpractice, third-party interference, and device manipulation. The test will be AI-proctored throughout the entire session, ensuring integrity and fairness in the process.

Technical Requirements

All candidates must ensure they have a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and the right device — preferably a laptop — to sit for the test. While mobile phones or tablets may be used, any form of interruption such as calls, app switching, or loss of connection could trigger violation alerts. Multiple violations may result in automatic disqualification.

Portal Access and Exam Login

The exam portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled test. Candidates are to log in at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng using the same credentials created during registration. They must complete the photo verification process and remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at the scheduled time.

Handling Disconnections

If any candidate is disconnected during the test, they can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped. It’s important to remain calm and ensure all technical issues are resolved promptly to avoid losing time.

CDCFiB wished all candidates good luck and reminded them that adherence to instructions is crucial to a successful examination experience.
