Eligibility and Qualifications (General)

To be considered, candidates must meet the following fundamental criteria:

  • Age: Must be between 18 to 25 years old.
  • Fitness: Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Character: Must be of good character and must not have any criminal records.
  • Marital Status: Must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the period of training (if successful).
  • Tattoos/Piercings: Must be free from conditions such as defective eyesight, knock knees, bow legs, bent knees, flat feet, or surgical marks that took amputation of any part of the body.

Physical Requirements (General Duty)

  • Male: Minimum Height of 1.67m (5 feet 6 inches) and Minimum Chest Measurement of 86cm (34 inches).
  • Female: Minimum Height of 1.64m (5 feet 4 inches).

Educational Qualifications

  1. General Duty: Must hold five (5) credits in GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  2. Specialists: Must hold five (5) credits in GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings, PLUS relevant Trade Test/Technical Certificate or relevant Diploma/Certificates and minimum **three (3) years' experience** in relevant fields/areas.

Method of Application

  1. Candidates must log on to: https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng
  2. Candidates must show a National Identification Number (NIN).
  3. Candidates must have a functional Email and Phone Number for all correspondences.
  4. Candidates must upload soft copies of their FSLC, SSCE/GCE/WAEC, Certificate of Origin, and Birth Certificate.
  5. In addition to the above, Specialists are to upload Trade Test Certificates and Drivers Licence for Drivers.

Please Note the Following

  • All applicants must undergo physical and medical examinations, aptitude test(s), and background verification.
  • The entire process will be strictly monitored for fairness and transparency.
  • Cases of **financial inducements or bribery** (attempted or successfully executed) will be investigated and punished if proven.
