The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), under the leadership of Director General Kashifu Inuwa, has officially moved into the full implementation phase of its 2026 initiatives. This milestone was recently presented during a high-level briefing to Engr. Nadungu Gagare, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.

The briefing provided a comprehensive look at NITDA’s evolution since its inception in 2001, highlighting a clear path toward a modernized, digital Nigeria. Central to this journey is the Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan 2024–2027 (SRAP 2.0), which serves as the blueprint for the nation's digital transformation.

The Eight Pillars of SRAP 2.0

SRAP 2.0 is not just a policy document; it is a framework for inclusive economic growth. Built around eight strategic pillars, it aims to harmonize technology with governance, economy, and social development. The plan ensures that the benefits of the digital age reach every Nigerian, regardless of location or background.
