INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment for 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election

The INEC has announced vacancies and recruitment portal opening ifor registration of eligible ad-hoc staff for the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election.

The openings includes Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APO), Registration Area Tech Support Staff (RATECHSS), and RAC Managers. Applicants must reside in Ekiti State.

Eligibility Criteria for Ad-Hoc Staff

1. Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)
Open to Federal Public/Civil Service & MDAs who are permanent staff on GL 10 - 14. Also open to INEC Staff (RAOs and other permanent staff) not engaged in other duties on GL 09 - 14.

2. Presiding Officers (POs) & Assistant Presiding Officers (APO I, II, III)
Open to current serving NYSC members and former NYSC members who completed service no later than 4 years ago (2022–2025). Also eligible are INEC permanent staff on GL 07 & 08, Federal and State MDA permanent staff with an OND or on GL 07 - 10, and penultimate students of Federal Tertiary Institutions.

3. RAC Managers
Open to the Head of the school/institution hosting the RAC or Super RAC, or suitable staff of that institution on GL 07 and above.

4. Registration Area Tech Support Staff (RATECHSS)
Open to INEC staff only. Specifically, suitable INEC ICT staff (States & HQ) who are not engaged in any other election duties.

General Requirements

• Applicants must not be a member of any political party.
• Applicants must not have demonstrated or expressed support for any candidate or party.
• Applicants must reside in the state selected (except for RATECHSS who are INEC staff).

Application Period:
The INECPRES portal opens on Saturday, 25th April 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes on Monday, 18th May 2026 at 12 Midnight.
