This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to ensure that all Nigerians and legal residents are enrolled and issued the NIN within the shortest time possible.
So far, NIMC has successfully enrolled and issued NINs to over 120 million individuals. With the new Ward Enrolment Initiative, the commission is targeting previously hard-to-reach areas by deploying trained Corps members to bring NIN services closer to the grassroots. The selected Corps members are currently undergoing intensive training in preparation for the rollout.
Through this initiative, Nigerians — especially children under the age of 16 — are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to enrol for the NIN in their respective wards.
