Apply: NECO Calls for Registration of Qualified Centres for CBT Exams

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced its transition from Paper-Pen Test (PPT) to Computer-Based Examination (CBE) starting with the November/December 2025 SSCE External.

NECO is inviting qualified Computer-Based Centre (CBC) operators to apply for registration, provided they meet the required standards.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of 150 functional computer systems with backups.

Robust LAN network with uninterrupted power supply.

Standard cubicles, CCTV, air-conditioning, and adequate lighting.

Presence of technical staff, network engineer, and security personnel.

Adequate backup power (40kva for 250 systems) and reliable internet connectivity.

Centres must not be located in shared premises like cinemas or markets.

Interested operators can download the full requirements and submit applications via https://cblt.neco.gov.ng. Successful centres will undergo inspection and accreditation.

This move marks a major step in ensuring a more transparent and modern examination process in Nigeria.
