NEAP, Education Ministry Partner to Boost Youth Empowerment
The Honourable Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, has called on the National Education Awards Programmes (NEAP), a non-governmental organisation focused on youth empowerment, to provide a structured framework to guide collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.
She made the call during a courtesy visit by NEAP in Abuja, describing the initiative as a welcome development. “I need a clear framework of the NGO to have a roadmap and picture of how we can support. We are always ready to listen and adopt a collaborative approach,’ she said.

The Minister's Senior Special Assistant, Professor Ali Idris, reaffirmed that the Ministry is open to partnerships aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. “The door is open for synergy that reflects national values,” he noted.
Earlier, NEAP Chairman, Engr. Anslem Ijebor, outlined the organisation's “Catch Them Young’ initiative, which rewards academic excellence with scholarships of #500,000, ##300,000, and #%200,000 for top students in NECO, WAEC, and BECE. He also highlighted NEAP's focus on reviving reading culture, supporting girl-child education, and discouraging harmful youth practices.
Both parties expressed commitment to building a transparent and well-defined framework for collaboration that will advance education reforms and empower Nigerian youth.
