Breakdown: FG Garment and Textile Hub Benefits Of SMEDAN GCSS Scheme

The SMEDAN’s Garment and Textile Hub is located at the Corporate Headquarters, 512 Chris Chigbo Road, Idu, Abuja. Recently solarized in partnership with @UNDPNigeria, the facility now provides 24/7 power access to fashion entrepreneurs who rely on it for their craft.

According to SMEDAN, Plans are underway to expand access by establishing similar hubs across the country, equipping more entrepreneurs with modern tools and resources to boost productivity, enhance quality, and lower production costs.

Here are break down of the SMEDAN Garment and Textile Cluster Growth Support Scheme.

1. Under the scheme, SMEDAN provides SEWING MACHINES more than hundred.

2. SMEDAN provides 24 hours electricity via solar renewable energy and national grid.

3. SMEDAN provides TRAINERS to train any interested young person.

4. Applicants who indicate interested to participate in Scheme via smedan portal will pay N500 daily to use the sewing machine for 24 hours at the garment and textile hub

5. You can be at the smedan garment and textile hub for one year or more than as you like. Get your orders from your customers, and use the farcilities in the hub to get your work done

6. It does not mean if you don’t have any background in tailoring, just go to the hub, they have LECTURERS to train you.
