TVET Resumed Payment Of Trainers And Trainees Stipends

The federal government has resumed payment of TVET trainers' and trainees' monthly stipends. The payment, which was paused due to biometric attendance verification, has now continued as some beneficiaries of the program who received their alerts testify with excitement.

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training TVET Initiative is a flagship program of the Federal Ministry of Education designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

The Federal Government pays institutes or individual trainers #45,000 per student, while trainees, who are students, receive #22,500 per month for 6 or 1 year, depending on the program category selected..

Since its introduction in May 2025, the TVET Initiative has progressed rapidly from student registration to full-scale practical training. The timely release of these funds ensures that students can focus on their vocational courses without financial burden, helping sustain the program’s growing momentum.
