According to the latest information reaching us, President Muhammadu Buhari Approves Fresh Recruitment Of 400,000 Police Officers Ahead Of Full Community Policing Implementation: “The Police Affairs Ministry is overseeing the Community Policing Policy, the Public Security Trust Fund, and Recruitment of 400,000 officers nationwide."
The Good news for N-Power volunteers is that Npower volunteers are included among those to be recruited for the community police. You could remember that in the last survey and the transition path conducted by N-Power, Community police was included as one of the path required for selection.
The affairs of N-Power as been moved to the New Ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development and ever since the ministry has been processing transfer of data of N-Power volunteers into their system which has cause delayed of October and November N-Power volunteers two month stipends payment.
We hope that the future of N-Power volunteers will be secure under this new ministry as some of them are about to be transferred to community police.
